New England Patriots
The New England Patriots have been in the Super Bowl conversation ever since Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady joined the organization 16 years ago. Last year was no different. The Patriots came a game short of going back to their seventh Super Bowl under the Belichick/Brady Era.
Tom Brady had another spectacular season in his illustrious career. In 2015, Brady threw for 4,770 yards and 36 touchdown passes. Brady continues to get better as the years go by, and it looks like “father time” is having a losing battle when it comes to attacking Tom’s ability to perform at a high level on a weekly basis.
Brady’s number option in the passing game, Rob Gronkowski led all tight ends with 1,176 receiving yards and 11 touchdown receptions in 2015. No matter who is on the Pats roster, they have always managed to get the job done.
The pieces that make the engine go in New England are Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick. Even with Brady’s four-game suspension, I still believe they are favorites to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl once again.
