Gridiron Fanatic.Net Top 15 Rosters in the NFL Countdown: No.9

Kansas City Chiefs

After starting off the 2015 season with a record of 1-5, the Kansas City Chiefs went on a 10-game winning streak and a spot in the AFC Playoff picture. The Chiefs roster has the personnel that is more than capable of getting pressure on big name quarterbacks such as Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton.

Linebacker Justin Houston did not have the type of numbers that he had in 2014 when recorded 22.0 sacks, however; he still played a part in the Chiefs making the playoffs last season. One player that no one expected to come in and contribute right away was cornerback Marcus Peters. Last season, Peters was tied for first in the league with eight interceptions.

To go along with those statistics, he was selected to the Pro Bowl and was named 2015 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Many fans and analysts had the Chiefs left for dead after they started off the season with a 1-5 record, but the leadership in the team’s locker room would not let that happen.

Team leaders such as Eric Berry and Tamba Hali played a part in the team’s second-half resurgence. The Chiefs will be expected to contend with the Denver Broncos for the AFC West Title this season, with the firepower that is on this ball club, they are more than capable of doing that.
