Gridiron Fanatic.Net’s Best Quarterback in Each Division Poll: NFC West

Russell Wilson

He does not throw for over 4,000 yards in a season, or have games of 5 touchdown passes. As a matter of fact his season’s best for touchdown passes was 26. That’s pretty average isn’t it? But what he does best is lead his team to victory no matter the cost. Russell Wilson is one of the Seattle Seahawks core players ever since arriving to the team in 2012.

In each of those three seasons, he has led the Seahawks to the playoffs. Included in those three seasons are two trips to the Super Bowl, and a championship ring to go along with it.

Russell Wilson has gone head to head with some of the league’s best quarterbacks such as Tom Brady and Drew Brees. Wilson is an impressive 7-1 against Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning. He has done a tremendous job with the little that he has had to work with in Seattle.

During the free agency craze in the month of March, the Seahawks acquired All-Pro tight end Jimmy Graham from the New Orleans Saints. Graham is expected to bolster a Seahawks passing game that struggled significantly in goal line situations.

Two seasons ago, there was debate on who was the best quarterback in the NFC West, between Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick. As of right now, Wilson has closed the gap in that debate.
